Our Goals

“Just as our future depends on the actions we take today, so too does the future of human rights and cultural diversity depend on our ability to acquire and demonstrate intercultural competencies today.”(UNESCO, Intercultural competencies: Conceptual and operational framework, Paris, 2013, p. 38)

With this in mind, SACIS aims to train and develop intercultural competencies through:

  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of the cultures and civilizations within the Eurasian cultural space;
  • Understanding the constraints, challenges, and specificities of intercultural interactions;
  • Developing intercultural communication skills.
